"Our goal is to reduce the carbon footprint of the country by developing, owning & operating solar power facilities"

KDC History

KDC Solar is the successor company to Kamine Development Corp. (KDC), a Bedminster, New Jersey based company, established in 1985 to develop, own and operate gas fired cogeneration plants. KDC built seven cogeneration facilities in the New York/New Jersey area and was the largest independent power producer in the region. KDC’s facilities produced approximately 600 megawatts of power and arranged for approximately $800 million in financing.

When the solar market emerged in New Jersey in 2009, Hal Kamine, along with several of his former key employees and advisers from KDC, returned to the power market. With the team back in place, KDC Solar was formed to address the solar market in New Jersey and the surrounding Mid-Atlantic States.
