The project achieved commercial operations in October 2016. The project is fully financed by KDC Solar RTC LLC with the land also owned by KDC Solar RTC LLC. It is built on a capped landfill and will supply power to the PJM wholesale market. The project was built with the help of Whiting Turner Construction Company.
